On the 19th October our school was presented with the National Flag and a copy of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic by members of Óglaigh na hÉireann, the Defence Forces, on the Centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising. Two 6th class pupils represented the school by reading a paragraph from the Proclamation and receiving the Irish Flag.
