Pupils in the choir can practise the songs using the link above as much as possible at home.

FÍS Film Project

Posted on January 18, 2024 by 5th & 6th Class Posted in Blog, School News

In June 2023, 5th & 6th Class made a stop motion film using Lego. The video was about the 1916 Easter Rising. We entered our film in the FÍS Film Competition. In January 2024, we received a ‘Highly Commended’ Award in the post for our film. We were delighted to receive it and can’t wait to enter another film this year!
Have a look at our entry below!

Holocaust Memorial Day

The Crocus Project

Holocaust Memorial Day

International Holocaust Memorial Day is on 27th January every year. We took part in the Crocus Project this year to remember those who died in the Holocaust.

The Holocaust was the organised murder of 6,000,000 Jewish people and hundreds of thousands of other victims, by the Nazis and their collaborators.

We planted yellow Crocuses to remember one and a half million Jewish children and thousands of other children who died in the Holocaust. The yellow colour of the flowers reminds us of the yellow Stars of David that Jews were forced to wear under Nazi rule. The flowers remind us of all of the children who perished in the Holocaust.

Our Crocuses will bloom in February.

Our New Classroom- UPDATE!!

Posted on January 6, 2023 by 5th & 6th Class Posted in Blog, School Archives, School News

Hi, we’re back with part two of the new classroom blog. The windows are in and one door is in. They have put the frame of the roof on. And they have started putting on the tiles for the roof. And they’re louder than our class. WE HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE BLOG.

The New Classroom

Posted on October 21, 2022 by 5th & 6th Class Posted in Blog, School Archives, School News

We are getting a new classroom. During the last week of September, the builders arrived and started to get ready for the foundation. Two weeks ago, they finished the foundation and put in the pillars. Last week, they poured concrete over the foundation. They recently started to build the wall around the new classroom. We had a look outside and there was a JCB and a cement mixer and a load of blocks and insulation foam. Right now, the workers are putting in the insulation under the floor. The building is looking good so far. There will be an update after or before Christmas.
